I thought I should post this message as a notice going forward. I know that some might not like how chapter 13 played out. Some will say they read this story, as well as most any story as an escape and I understand that. I want my story though to be as realistic as possible when dealing with behavior between people.
Sometimes the things I will write will be crazy but unfortunately what happened in chapter 13 happens. It's a reality and I wanted to portray that. I didn't want this to be an unrealistic "everybody accepts and loves them immediately" sort of situation because even in this day and age there's people who just don't want to accept it and I know from experience.
Also I should note that just because chapter 13 went the way it did doesn't mean things won't ever get better for Trey and Bear. They still have people who do accept them and I will say that I've read stories where this sort of thing happens but I wasn't turned off by it. I felt sad for the character and any real people who have faced similar situation. I realized it's a story and authors reserve the right to tell their stories a certain way.
I will apologze though to those who are offended by the way chapter 13 played out, and I just hope that you will stick around to see how things play out from here on out.

Me and Writing
As I stated in the first few chapters of "The Chronicles of Trey" this is my very first attempt at writing a story. I have read so many books, especially M/M stories that finally I decided to try my hand at writing pulling upon all I had learned from the books I had read.
THE STORY:
I've had this story idea floating around in my head since around January of this year. I developed the main characters of Trey and Bear and the people around them and I spent the better part of this year basically going through their lives in my head. I made it all the way to Trey being 30 before the thought came to me to actually write a book.
Due to this though how Trey and Bear's story will truly end is still a mystery to me. Fear not though as I have a plan for how to proceed. I will seperate the lives of the characters into 3 "books" with the current one being "book 1". I plan to end it around the characters' highschool graduation and as you probably know they are juniors so we have a while yet t go there. I plan "book 2' to span the characters' college years and end with graduation from college. Then "book 3" will be their adult lives after college.
It's the third book that's unfinished in my head, but that's a while off so I'm sure I will find a way to end the story. I'm even thinking of an ending that will leave open a place for a "book 4" but the details of which would spoil things to come that I already have planned out.
THE CHARACTERS: (there will be spoilers up to chapter 13 in this section so skip over it if you haven't made it there yet)
I wanted to develop Trey and Bear and their dynamic before putting them together and before any sex happened between them. I didn't want this to be like the stories where the two characters meet and hardcore sex happens before the first chapter is over. I like those types of stories well enough because some of them turn into some really good stories.
Often times though those stories devolve into just sex sex sex all the time and meanwhile the leads aren't well developed and even the reason they're even together is a mystery because all that you know about them is they have sex. There are no sweet, tender moments, no heart wrenching teary-eyed moments, no breathlessly funny moments. There's only sex and no other chemistry between the leads.
I wanted to show that Trey and Bear are extremely close to each other. I wanted to also show their obliviousness toward each other. I wanted the reader to be screaming for them to just kiss, do something because it was so obvious they wanted each other. I also though wanted to develop the characters around them, even the female characters because some M/M stories only include other gay men. I wanted both gay and straight characters in thsi story and I wanted them developed.
As you read the story you will see that perhaps pne of my very favorite characters in this story is Justice. Some may just call her a mary sue though because she can do most of it all. She's insanely intelligent, she really pretty, and she's deadly. Some people, well okay all people will hate Drake and Zane as they should but I will say that they aren't just bastards but both do have reasons for their hatred of gays. Zane's will be coming up soon in book 1 while Drake's won't be revealed until near the end of book 2 which is quite a while out.
OTHER STUFF:
This isn't the only story I've done in my head like this, just the first that has begged to be actually written. I've had a few that would have been great stories if only I could remember the details, lol. Now though I'm also thinking on 2 other story ideas, maybe 3. One is a short story of maybe just a few chapters that's connected to "The Chronicles of Trey". It will feature all the characters just in a different way. I got the idea from a reader who sent me an email about something else but I wondered how I could incorporate it with The COT characters. It will be seperate from the main story but still contain the characters.
When I'm done with the first chapter I'll post it here and depending on feedback I'll continue with it. The second one is a completely different story with all new characters that I've gotten a couple ideas down about. The maybe is a spin-off featuring Marcus and Wayne. I've gotten a few emails from readers telling me that they really like Marcus and Wayne and at least 1 reader expressed a desire to read a story about them, but I'm unsure if I wanna go this route based on events that happen in the main story. I'll have to see when I get there.
In closing I'm a new writer but I'm finding I like it. I hope one day to get a story published as a book but until then I hope everyone who reads COT enjoys it.
